About ShuddhaNaad
Sangeet Vidyalay

Dedicated to preserving the purity of Indian Classical Music through authentic Guru-Shishya tradition — since 30 March 2025.

Born from a Deep Passion
for Pure Music

ShuddhaNaad Sangeet Vidyalay was officially founded on 30 March 2025 in Fursungi, Hadapsar, Pune — a city that has always been a cradle of classical arts in Maharashtra.

The name "ShuddhaNaad" itself speaks volumes — Shuddha means pure, and Naad means sound or musical tone. Together, they represent our core belief: that music taught without compromise or dilution is the only true form of musical education.

The academy was born out of the vision of Guru Shivam Kendre, a 16-year veteran tabla player and disciple of the legendary Shri Yashwant Vaishnav Guruji, who felt a pressing need to counter the decline of authentic classical training in contemporary India.

What began as a small, dedicated effort to teach a handful of sincere students has already grown to a community of 25+ active learners, with students trained across India and abroad.

Shivam Kendre

Founder & Head Guru — Tabla

đŸĨ Tabla Maestro 16+ Yrs Experience 🏆 National Awardee

Biography

Shivam Kendre is a celebrated tabla player with over 16 years of intensive training and performance experience. Born with an innate love for rhythm, he began his musical journey under the revered guidance of Shri Yashwant Vaishnav Guruji — one of the most respected tabla masters in India — and has since dedicated his life to the art.

His tabla playing is marked by a rare combination of technical precision, deep understanding of layakari (rhythmic patterns), and an expressive sensitivity that makes each performance memorable. Over the years, he has mastered multiple gharana styles and can adapt his playing to both solo concerts and vocal or instrumental accompaniment.

The Sacred Guru-Shishya Parampara

At ShuddhaNaad, we don't just teach music — we follow the ancient Guru-Shishya Parampara, the revered tradition of learning in Indian classical arts. This tradition, thousands of years old, recognises that the true transmission of musical knowledge happens only through a deep personal bond between the Guru (teacher) and Shishya (student).

In this tradition, the Guru doesn't merely impart technical skills — they share wisdom, values, discipline, and a way of being in music. The relationship carries a sense of sacred responsibility on both sides: the Guru commits fully to the student's growth, and the student commits to dedicated, sincere practice.

This is the spirit that lives in every class, every riyaaz session, and every performance that emerges from ShuddhaNaad Sangeet Vidyalay.
